Business Executives Participate in “Startup Night” – hosted by Dominican Accounting Finance Association
Business executives from Byte, Venture Pad, EO Products, Urban Remedy, and Circuit Cubes were among six companies that presented at “Startup Night” on November 21.
Hosted by the Dominican Accounting Finance Association (DAFA), the student-driven event attracted about 50 people, the majority of them students in the Barowsky School of Business. It provided an opportunity to learn from professionals with real startup business experience.
The presenters included Christian Eilert-Olsen ’16, Dominican alum and Account Executive of Byte Foods; Chris Yalonis, President of Venture Pad; Katy Mooney, VP of Urban Remedy; and Nate McDonald, CEO of TenkaLabs/Circuit Cubes. Also presenting were Synergy Stax Managing Director Martin Szczepaniak and Dominican alum Yema Khalif ’15 and ’16 MBA, who is CEO and Founder of YEMA Sports Apparel.
Each company representative was seated at a table and discussed their business and were available to answer questions.
